We got the opportunity to speak with Kellie aka @hairlossboss who has been a Lusta bestie since day 1. Here's what she had to say.
Where are you from?
Brisbane, Australia
When did you start experiencing hair loss? What has your experience been since then?
My androgenic alopecia began in my late 20's. At first I really struggled to accept that my hair was falling out and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Wigs and toppers felt like a last resort. I'm now 36 and absolutely love wearing hair. I have the locks I always dreamed of! For that reason I am actually grateful for hair loss.
Who was the first person you told about your hair?
I don't recall- but I do remember my friends and family were incredibly supportive. They were happy with whatever decisions I made regarding my hair, as long as it was what I wanted.
How did you find out about Lusta?
Kim and I connected through the hair loss community before Lusta was even a thing! It's been amazing to watch her flourish as a business owner.
What do you love about wearing hair?
So many things! It's easier to style, I can change my look every day and the hair is better than any I could ever grow.
How has Lusta been part of your hair journey?
Honestly it's the friendships I have with the Lusta team. The hair is great but the connections are what I treasure most.
What would your advice be to other women with hair loss?
Reach out to other women in the hair loss community. Everything you've felt, they've felt. They can help you find you way, whatever that might be.
