You’ve tried all the home remedies, from apple cider vinegar to rosemary oil... and, have you heard of the onion juice method (eeek). Once you’ve realised that NONE of these have worked, you’re now considering more expensive options. Maybe Platelet-Rich (PRP) Injections.
Look, real talk. Although these remedies may work for some (it may only slow down hair loss), most people with genetic forms of hair loss usually don’t find them that effective. Honestly, all these ‘solutions’ made me feel worse about my hair loss, rather than better. Like, ‘why won’t this work for me????’ There was a time when I felt like there was no solution (trust me, I spent $2500 on PRP Injections, and NOTHING changed 😂)...
Fear not, we have the answer! Human hair toppers and wigs are the ONLY hair loss solution that works 100% of the time and doesn’t require much effort. They normally end up being cheaper than some treatments requiring lifelong commitment (e.g. Minoxidil). So, take a breath, let’s chat wearing hair!
Are the wigs worth it? The answer is YES. The process of finding your perfect piece can be so overwhelming! Maybe you’re considering synthetic hair as they are more ‘budget friendly’. Or at least that’s what people say... The issue with synthetic hair pieces is that they often only last 3-6 months before they start shedding or becoming knotty. Many people end up purchasing 2-4 synthetic pieces a year. Why not spend the SAME amount of money on REAL human hair?
You also can’t have a synthetic piece coloured to get those dimensional, realistic colours to match your bio hair. What is the point if you can’t make your dream hair, YOU? 😯 Human hair pieces are much more versatile. Imagine styling those fresh curls on your bio hair, you can certainly do this on a human hair wig! In fact, you can do ANYTHING that involves heat! You can use your blow dryer, straightener, or curling wand without creating a melted mess... We have loads of Lusta videos that you can flick through for inspo!
Does that mean you should never buy a synthetic piece? Absolutely not! It’s about what makes sense for YOU. If investing in human hair suits your needs, go for it. But if you prefer synthetic, that’s totally great too. We support any decision that makes you feel confident and yourself 🥰
So now that we’ve chatted about synthetic pieces, the next question is... Are all human hair wigs created equal? The answer is NO. If a ‘human hair’ piece has a price that seems too good to be true, it probably is. Generally, the knots will not be bleached (this means you’ll be able to see where the hair is tied onto the cap) and the hair will also be very thin! And let me tell you something else to watch out for. If you’re purchasing a wig that isn’t ‘Remy Hair’, there’s a strong possibility you may be wearing... are you ready for it?? DRAIN HAIR!! Ekkkkkkkkk...
Another factor to consider is if a piece is only $100, how much of that is going to the worker who spent so much time carefully sewing your piece? Our pieces take 60 hours to make as every SINGLE hair is handsewn into the silk top. This allows your hair to move freely and look ultra-realistic!
The baseline is when the prices are lower, something is going to suffer. Either people are going to suffer, or quality. We love our Lusta Family and want to make sure we can ensure our workers aren’t suffering whilst also not sacrificing quality.
