Let's talk about Lace Top Wigs vs Lace Toppers. You might have seen some gorgeous photos of our Lusta girls wearing lace top pieces, whether it's a lace wig (our Luxe Wig) or our lace toppers. Let's break it down and see which type of piece is going to match your hair needs best.

Lace Wigs: The One-Size-Fits-All Solution

First up, lace wigs. Our lace top wig is called The Luxe Wig. Why? Because it's a super luxurious option designed to look ultra-realistic.

Lace wigs work for EVERYONE. Whether you have a full head of hair or no hair at all, a Luxe Wig is gonna be your BFF. Luxe Wigs (unlike our silk top wigs) are made with a thin piece of lace on the top of the cap. Individual strands of hair are hand-tied into the lace to give the illusion that the hair is growing right out of your head.

Lace wigs are also lower density than silk tops, as they do not need as much hair tied into them to look natural. If you want a super light and breezy wig, Luxe Wigs are a great option.

It's important to note that Luxe Wigs are more delicate than silk top wigs. With a silk top Lusta wig, you can expect to get about 2-3 years of daily wear. With a Luxe, you'll get about 12-18 months. For this reason, a lot of our Lusta girls will use their Luxe as their 'special' or 'going out' wig.

Lace Toppers: The Specialized Companion

Like Lace Top wigs, lace toppers have a piece of thin lace on the top of the cap, giving that 'growing out of your head illusion'. However, Lace tops are a bit more specialised. Whereas a Luxe Wig works for anybody and everybody, lace toppers only work for a certain type of person.

A lace topper is best for women with NO or very, very little hair at the hairline. Think receding hair line or extreme thinning around the hair line. If you have hair at your hair line, the lace topper may not sit as flat and look more bulky. For this reason, our lace toppers are available via custom order online. They need to be made specifically for you.

Like Luxe Wigs, our lace toppers are more delicate and last around 12-18 months of daily wear.
