6 Hair Loss Accounts You Need to Follow!
Hey Hair Queens!
Although social media isn't always a positive thing, the hair loss community on Instagram truly changed my life. Meeting and following other women who were just like me, going through the same thing, gave me hope when it came to hair loss. Seeing these women being strong and fearless inspired me to be the same way. I wanted to share a couple of people who I follow on Instagram, who helped me become the person I am today.
1. Kellie aka @hairlossboss
Kellie is one of those women born to uplift and empower others. Her 'don't give a f**k' attitude and raw honesty when it comes to her hair loss attitude is just inspiring. She tells it how it is and gives incredibly insightful info into the world of hair wearing and hair loss.
2. Hattie aka @my_trich_journey
Trichotillomania is a mental health disorder where you reccurently pull out the hair on your head, brows and lashes, leaving you with bald patches and hair loss. It can be incredibly difficult to deal with and affects up to 10 million people in the United States alone. Hattie is speaking out about how trich affects her life and how she copes with it.
3. Jess aka @hairlossgirlboss
Jess is the MVP when it comes to educational videos and tutorials. When you're first stepping into the world of hair-wearing it can be super overwhelming and confusing. Jess is there to make it simple! She makes tons of videos on both the practical and emotional side of hair loss. We love her!
4. Steph aka @steph.stranded
Other than being known for her bold hair colours (we love it!!), Steph has had Androgenic Alopecia since 13 years old. She shares with her followers her journey, the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and she is just so damn relatable. She's always sharing inspiring quotes and #OOTDs and we absolutely love her for it.
5. Kim aka @kimdubs_
Kim has been Lusta's hair bestie from day 1! We love that Kim isn't afraid to be real with her followers and share both the high points and low points of her hair journey. We're absolutely obsessed with her (plus if you go follow her now, you'll get to see all the pics of her new puppy!).
6. Lacie aka @lacie.rodriguez
Lacie is doing BIG things in the hair loss community. She provides her honest reviews on the toppers and wigs she wears and gives women advice on how to find the best piece for them. She's always posting a bunch of educational content so you don't need to go digging for answers on all your 'hairy' questions.
