Our Lusta Clips are designed to be as gentle as possible on your own hair, especially if it's fine or thin. They're much softer and less "snappy" than hair extension clips or others you may have tried, so they hold your topper securely without pulling or gripping too hard.

You'll just need a little hair for the clips to attach to, plus some at the front to blend with for the most natural look. If you have any particularly sensitive areas, you can add, remove or reposition the clips inside the cap with a needle and thread, so they sit exactly where they're most comfortable for you.

It depends on your level of hair loss. Toppers are best if you have thinning on the top or crown but still have bio hair to blend. Wigs offer full coverage and are ideal for more advanced hair loss or for those who prefer not to rely on blending.

1. Pick a similar tone to your own hair, is your hair warm, ashy or neutral?

2. Remember, the colour does not need to match your bio hair perfectly as the topper is going to cover the majority of your hair. Once clipped in and positioned correctly, the only bio hair you will is your framing pieces at the front and the underneath.

Measure from the centre part from your crown down to the ends of your hair using a soft measuring tape. Also add two inches just in case.

All Lusta pieces are made with multidirectional tops, which means you can part the hair anywhere, left, right, middle, or even slightly back for volume. 

To change the part line: Lightly spray the top with water to make the hair more pliable. Use a fine-tooth comb to create your new part in the desired position. Then blow-dry the area in place (aim the heat down the new part line) to set it. 

That’s it! It’s super easy and gives you the freedom to switch up your look whenever you feel like it.

We do recommend choosing a stylist who has experience working with wigs or toppers, as they behave a little differently from natural hair on the head. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to give your stylist some tips or guide you on what will work best with your piece.
